Andrew Cranston: 25+ Years of Expertise in Telecom Property and Infrastructure

Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience specialising in telecommunications, property, and asset management.

Before joining TIP in March 2022, Andrew was a Director at Cell: cm Chartered Surveyors, a company he co-founded in 2004. Andrew led teams providing consultancy advice to a variety of landlord clients with telecoms infrastructure on/at their properties. Advice covered the life cycle of telecoms and radio tower sites and portfolios from initial lettings, commercial estate management, specialist legislative advice, rent reviews, lease renewals & re-gearing, health & safety, access, and site decommissioning.

In 2009, Andrew joined the UK RICS President’s Panel of Arbitrators and Independent Experts specialising in rent review and lease renewal disputes relating to telecoms/electronic communications base stations.

Before founding Cell: cm Chartered Surveyors, Andrew held posts in the UK with Waldon Telecom and Vodafone. His work experience in the electronic communications sector started in the mid-1990s when he managed the portfolio of telecoms lettings on land and buildings owned by a City Council in the North of England.
